My journey of being a teacher started in 2011, when I was teaching in SMK Seri Bedena as a practicum teacher for 4 months. I was young and naive. Didn't know how to handle the class, environment and emotions. They were great kids. Kids are being kids. Too young, too dumb, too naughty. They were still Form 1, so the transition from being a kid to puberty, so many to handle. Peers, family and academics. It was tough to teach them because they aren't me; loves and exposed to 2nd language since kindergarten so I got frustrated several times. Frustrated with them, frustrated with myself but it was a huge and the most unforgettable experience for me. Not only I was the whom do the teaching, but, they too. They taught me how to be a teacher, to love being a teacher, to see the view of a teacher.
Form 1 B; English Week, Sherlock Holmes
After finishing studies, I was teaching in Cybernetics International College of Technology for a year. This is where I have to teach youths; younger and older than me. The place taught me how to be an adult. A lot of things have happened but it is okay. It is just a part of my diary in becoming an adult. I was teaching English as a general subject where my students were 360 people in total. The place where I practice to speak louder, think faster and deliver better day by day (even though some say I was strict as a lion, but hey, I don't do shitty works and stupidity is not in my vocab). Throughout the journey, they were cool and very challenging students. That's life eh? The most important of all, my Grammar is better day by day; by teaching the students and teaching myself unconsciously.
Diploma in Aviation, 3rd Semester, Snow White Presentation
After a year teaching youths, I jumped into teaching pre-schoolers. R.E.A.L Kids Plus; an international pre-school with English medium. Challenging yet fun.Full of energy and piss and poo. Haha. This is where the ability to smell poo or fart developed. Hahaha. When dealing with kids, I have to be more patience, more manja and have to have the sayang feeling towards them regardless of race and IQ level. They see teachers as their mothers. They're cute and fun and they taught me on how to handle kids, how to only have a conversation in English, how to teach in Bahasa with low-level Bahasa background, how to speak a bit of Mandarin, Tamil and Korean. Basically, teaching me to become a mother.
Reception International, Graduation Picture Day
I do not have the background nor certificate in pre-school, so now, I'm in an NGO. A perfect place to find my inner peace. To help the poor, to share the knowledge regardless of background. Education is for everybody, not only for the rich. From the rural areas to big cities, education should be shared the same way. Even though with different projects but, the same intention.
