On Sunday, it was a team building day for us Peneraju team but, this and that, the actual Peneraju members were replaced by the Project 100 cool and crazy peeps. We had it at Outbac Broga which near Broga hill entrance. Outbac Broga is an extreme park where adrenalin junkies' favourite lepak place. Natasha found it via Groupon and we had a special deal; RM50 (actually RM40++) for five activities; caving, leap of faith, flying fox, wall climbing and kayak, plus lunch (rice with chicken curry and vege)
We arrived 1 hour late because most of the routes in KL especially along Jalan Kuching was closed. Yeah, they were fucking us by not telling KL-ians about it. Damn you marathon organiser! Oh, because there was a huge marathon yada yada going on. As soon as we reached there, we were briefed about what are we going to do and they introduced the instructors.
The first activity was caving. The instructors kumpul 2 groups (us and another group of girls) so, it was a big group lah. The cave is about 10 (or 15) minutes drive. Eh, I think less than that. Well, I got lost track of time. Before reaching the cave, we have to walk (jungle-trekking) for about 20 minutes in the jungle then only we can see the cave. From the outside, the cave looks like a bunch of rock piling to one another. But actually, it is a cave. I thought the cave gonna be like Batu Caves and Ipoh Gunung Rapat-rapat cave. I had a shock of my life. The cave is dark, small, narrow and winding. We had to slide down, baring mengiring, crawl and hold our breath. Fascinating right? To be very honest, I was petrified! I even cried. I cried when we had to really kangkang our legs and slide down a huge rock to another huge rock. There was a stream, and the instructor was in the water. I am afraid of water and heights. There was no rope, whatsoever to hold on to. I just had to really trust the instructor. Then the cave became narrower and smaller. But eventually I was not that scared after all. It was a great experience though.
After caving, we had our quick lunch then after that, we did The Leap of Faith. I got scared only by listening to the name. The Leap of Faith is when you have to climb up a 3-storey tall durian tree and jump to be hang up in the air. Ala-ala buat trapeze macam kat circus tu. But, of course la with the safety gears and all. But, again, the heights scared the shit out of me.
Nampak macam kerja TNB tak?
How the hell I'm gonna reach that thing?
Yeah, I didn't reach it.
And then after that, flying fox. It was damn high! I did get scared but, I felt like I wanna puke, so, I just close my eyes and went on.
Bapak tinggi woi!
"Fucking awesomeeeeee....." then towards the end.....
....I stopped very far from the platform and the instructor had to pull me with a rope.
And then, I puked. Urgghh...!
And after that we proceed to wall climbing. After throwing up, I don't feel like climbing the wall, so, I just head for kayak. The pool is filled of muddy water and smelled like dead fish. Very interesting. The kayak can fit 2 people so I went with Cinta, of course and play with the water like small kids. Euw and fun at the same time.
Rock on!
Now you see them, now you don't
The goodbye pose
It's a wrap guys. Time to go home.
It was awfully awesome experience for me. Did everything except for wall climbing. I screamed, got petrified, freaked out, cried, crawled, jumped, slid down, flew high in the sky, tasted a bit of the muddy pool water and puked. It's all worth the experience if you do it with Cinta (and a team of crazy peeps)
P/s : Thank you Cinta for being my support throughout the challenge. Thank you for being my extra hand and natural tranquilizer especially when you sang to me in the cave. It was the cherry to my pie. I heart you Cinta ;)
